What's In My Changing Bag UPDATED!

I thought it was about time that I did an updated 'What's in my changing bag' I did one when I had a proper changing bag which had everything in bar the kitchen sink which you can read here!

Now Elliott's older I feel like he doesn't need to take that much when we go out so I felt we needed to downsize. I have kept our old changing bag and will be using that for when baby number two comes along but for Elliott we bought him a little back pack to carry all his things in. He loves watching the Disney Channel and has taken a liking to Henry Hugglemonster so when we saw this cute one in our local Home Bargains we snapped it up. We actually got it a couple of weeks before Christmas so we gave it to him as a Christmas present. He was wearing it with pride for a good 10 minutes showing everyone he had a bag on his back! Very cute.

I feel the things in his bag changes frequently - more frequently than when he was a baby I think! Staples that will always be in the bag no matter what are nappies, wipes and nappy bags.

I usually pack a spare pair of clothes too. Usually a pair of jeans, socks and a long sleeved tshirt, just in case he decides that the biggest muddiest puddle is the perfect place for a little sit down!

I always carry my purse and diary wherever I go, a diary is something that I started carrying about maybe 6 months ago and now I cannot live without it! I feel if it was to ever go walk abouts I wouldn't have a clue where I should be or when! I'm also blaming baby brain for this...

Just now as the weather has turned and it is very chilly so just now sometching that we never leave the house without is a hat, scarf (or scood, as we have! If you don't have one I highly recommended! We got ours from Funky Giraffe) and a pair of gloves/mittens!

Things that vary from day to day are snacks and a drink. Although saying that we are still loving the Munchkin straw sippy cups and use them everyday. Normally if we go out for the day I pack his bag full of food (which he has now realised and will run off with the bag and have a secret munch!)

What do you carry in your changing bag? Are there any essential item(s) that I should be carrying?

  1. Since having F I find that I actually pack less than I did when I just had M. Yes I do still have a massive change back but it is emptier than it was when M was an only child. Weird.

  2. I'm down to the stage where I just chuck a nappy, some wipes and a biscuit in a bag and wing it but a year ago I had the full arsenal in a pack pack everyday. My must have was hand sanitiser.

  4. I still use my Pink Lining changing bag for Harlow but now that she's getting older I should probably change back to my own handbag and give her a little back pack like what you've done. She doesn't need much now just some nappies, wipes, nappy bags, change of clothes, a bib and some snacks and drink. That should easily fit in a back pack, hopefully :)

  6. I'm with you in the spare clothes! I don't usually need them, but I learnt my lesson one time when Luke jumped in a huge wet sandy puddle and fell over JUST as we had arrived at the place to go for a walk! Nightmare! Love the little back packs for kids, they always have such cute designs on them. Ray X #ToddlerApprovedTuesday
