The Perfect Waterproof Suit from Hippy Chick!

I love winter, I must admit that it is one of my favourite seasons. The fresh crisp air, the snow, putting up the Christmas tree I could go on...
Saying that I have noticed the weather has seriously taken a turn and it is freeeeeezing up here in Scotland!

I still want to get out and about, the last thing I want to do is be cooped up in the house, we have been looking for a suitable snowsuit or a waterproof all in one for the colder, wetter weather so when Hippy Chick sent us their fleece lined waterproof suit, I was over the moon!

When the fleece lined all in one waterproof suit (£37.50)(*) arrived in the post we decided to take it for a test run there and then! Elliott was more than happy to sit on my knee and have the suit put on him. The first thing I noticed was the super soft fleece lining throughout the inside of the suit- a must in this cold weather! Meaning he will be super cosy and comfy in any cold temperature!

Another thing that I love are the adjustable Velcro straps on the legs and sleeves which means that you can tighten or loosen to your child's arms and legs. The legs come with elastic stirrups which you can pop under the wellies to keep the suit firmly in place.

The all in one waterproof suit has been designed to be completely windproof and breathable which makes it the perfect suit in all weathers! The outer layer is made with the highest quality Teflon coated Polyester.  These can be wiped clean or machine washed perfect for my one and a half year old who can usually be found in a muddy puddle and likes getting that little bit messy!

They have 4 sizes - 12-18 months, 18-24 months, 2-3 years and 3-4 years - we opted for the 18-24 months size as Elliott has just turned 18 months and I was worried the 12-18 month wouldn't last him throughout winter although a part of my wondered if the 18-24 suit would be huge and drown him but I needn't have worried as it fitted him very well with plenty of room for growing without looking baggy and odd!

Elliott loved having the freedom to jump in as many puddles as he wished and even sitting splashing away in some(!) something he doesn't really get to do so he was very much in his element that's for sure!

When we got home his hair was soaked, his face was muddy and his suit was speckled with mud! Once I removed Elliott from the waterproof suit I noticed how cosy he was and that not one drop of water had leaked through! As for the suit - a quick baby wipe over and it was looking good as new!

I am so so so happy to have this, I know that whatever the weather the all in one waterproof suit will keep my little toot warm and cosy right through the colder, wetter months meaning he can continue jumping in as many muddy muddles as he wishes!

  5. There is a scope of children's waterproof rigging accessible these days, from brands making downsized forms of men and ladies styles through to brands spend significant time in children waterproof garments e.g. Sloppy Puddles.
