Sunny Day Essentials!

It has been beautiful the last couple of weeks, and we have been out in the sun most of them days but sadly I have no tan to show for it - I think I will be forever a milk bottle! Baby E has a better tan than me! haha!

We have pretty much lived in shorts and t shirts and loving every minute! This weather is getting me so excited for the summer! Last year Baby E was a newborn and was limited to what he could wear due to it being so hot, but this year as you can see from my small haul here we have gone for lots of summery gear! I have actually bought more since that haul, so I should maybe show you the rest if you're interested!

I thought I would show you some of the things we carry with us on a hot day and a typical outfit that Baby E would wear - and has wore!

This is a typical outfit that Baby E has rocked for the majority of the week, a simple shorts and tshirt!

Like I said above, I bought the shorts and tshirt in the haul I did here. The shorts (£5) are super cute and pretty much go with any tshirt! I love them on him! I bought them in the next size up, which fit him but I am hoping he gets a lot of wear out of them and will see him right through the summer!

The tshirt (£7 - pk of 3) is in the same post, the pack of three go really well with any outfit. They are made of light material and are breathable - perfect for the warmer weather we've been having!

A hat is essential with the sun beating down on his little head. This hat was given to us when Baby E was a baby as a gift so I'm unsure where it's come from or how much it was.  I was so unsure of this hat to start with but now I have fallen in love with it! It is one of those hats that has a chin strap (which, by the way - BEST.THING.EVER!) this hat also has a neck shade too. I will definitely need to buy another as I think it'll be too small for him come summer time! If you know where i could get a cute one - let me know!

Baby E has been in bare feet most of the week - he's gone through the pulling off socks phase! But when we head out, I tend to pop on these cute little sandals from Next! They are so easy to pop on and off his feet and as they have slits on the side they let his feet breathe - so no more sweaty feeted baby!

Another essential item is Suncream (£2.50). We use Factor 50 Kids Suncream. Just a small tube from Tesco. I usually reapply this a couple of times a day - I'm far too scared of him getting burnt!

Baby E gets incredibly thirsty while out playing in the sun so we always take a sippy cup with water in it. We are currently using a Nuby Cup (£2.99), but I'm not too keen on it to be honest - I think i might do a review on it soon, we both haven't taken to it - but stubborn ol' me won't give up without a fight! haha!
