Easter Footprints!

Two posts in one day! Aren't you a lucky lot!

I wasn't going to be posting two but seeing as I have just done a spur of the moment activity with Baby E I thought I would share it with you!

While having lunch I was looking at the clay footprints we did for Halloween (they sit on a shelf in our dining room) and I was thinking I could do something similar for Easter and then it hit me, I would make rabbits and let Baby E footprint on the ears!
Sadly this didn't work out too well as at one point the ears weren't even connected to the head!! It looks rather silly and messy.
Out of nowhere I decided his feet could be carrots!
So I got to work painting his tooties a lovely orange colour which got many giggles! - He has tickly feet just like his mummy!
I pressed them onto some fancy card I had left over from Christmas. I printed both feet - one of them twice and cleaned his feet up with warm water and a towel.

Once the paint had dried I drew on some carrot stalks with a green Sharpie and added some black glittery letters that had sticky backs which were also leftovers from Christmas!

I bought 6 blank clip frames a couple of months ago and never used them due to not having anything to put in them, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to use a few.

One is to go to one set of grandparents and the other one is to go to the other set of grandparents!

I think this is a great gift for Baby E's first Easter, instead of a card we have something that we can keep forever!

What do you think of our Easter Footprints? It was so easy to do and looks great and the best bit... It didn't cost us a penny!

  2. These are so cute and lovely! I bet the Grandparent's will love them. I love that you made them on fancy card, when I started reading I thought you'd done it on canvas! It looks really lovely. Luke always runs away when I paint his feet...it causes a lot of mess :( Ray xx @ lukeosaurusandme.blogspot.co.uk
