Clocks Changing!

Beau is blue, beauisblue, clocks changing, time changing,

How did the clocks changing effect your little one?

This is the first time this has happened for us and I wasn't sure what to expect.
Before the clock went back Baby E had a bottle at 7pm and was bedded by 7:30pm and would awaken at 8am, get a bottle then back down until 9:30am/10am.
Since the clocks went back Baby E was up at half past 8 in the morning (which is not bad and I can't complain!) but he wanted his night time bottle at 5:30pm! I struggled to keep him awake for an hour and after one very grumpy hour he had his bottle and was down for the night at 6:30pm!

This morning though was up at 7am. And tonight he wanted to go down at 5:45pm! Tonight's even more of a struggle as he is rubbing his eyes, crying, not settling in any position and just general grumpiness!

I hope this will get easier. I'm scared if I put him down when earlier he will get up early!
I loved having a baby that enjoyed sleeping in the morning! Although I know a lot of mums are getting up much earlier than us and I really do feel for you!
Today we were up and about before 8am and that is unheard of in this household!

Have you any tips? I'd love to know!

  1. Does he nap during the day? I find Aidan need a short nap (anywhere from 45 mins to 1.5 hours) around 11 and again at 4/5 and goes down from 8pm-9am then.. Hope you get lie ins back soon! x

  2. Give him a bath when he starts to get sleepy. On days Molly wants to go to bed early we give her a bath and it means we can keep her up for an hour or so by bathing then getting cream on her and putting pyjamas on etc.
