A little update...

I think a little update is well overdue.

I thought I had better explain myself as I have been absent from the social media world and I would have been absent from blogging too, but thank god for scheduled posts!

Anyway, as you are probably all aware, I am pregnant with my first baby. I only have a couple of weeks to go before the big day, which I just can't get my head around!
Last week, I have been feeling a bit bleugh, so tired but can't sleep, you know what I mean?! Anyway, I took myself on down to the doctors and was told that my iron levels had dropped quite dramatically so I was put on some iron tablets, which worked for me. But on Thursday night I was in considerable amount of pain and my partner, Jordan told me to ring to ring the midwives, which I did and was told to come in as they thought I was in labour (!!)
Thankfully after a few tests etc they showed I was not in labour but would keep me in over night just to be on the safe side.
This was the first time I had ever been away from Jordan and the first time ever sleeping in a hospital, I was very emotional as you could imagine!
The next day my mum and Jordan came to visit and I wasn't allowed out until the doctors and midwives had assessed me and the baby - which took a good 6 hours...
So I was let out in the afternoon but was extremely tired due to being put on a ward with other expectant mothers trying to push babies out! So once I got home I put on my cosy PJ's and got in bed, I fell asleep for a couple of hours and felt fine.
I think I forgot to say, I was not in labour, the midwives have put it down to Braxton Hics which is very common for woman at this late stage in the game!
So hopefully he stays in for a bit longer!

Other than that, nothing has really happened. I finished up work last week to be on Maternity Leave, which I thought would make my days much longer, but in fact my days seem to run away with themselves!
I did write a 'To-Do' list of things that I am needing to do before baby is here, mainly things like sorting out baby's clothes and bedroom and just general 'nesting'

I feel much better in myself that I am now on top of everything and put my mind to rest for a bit.

Now for some me time... feet up, tea in hand and relax! Bliss....
