Elliott has always been a good sleeper from day one, fast forward to today and he is sleeping from 7pm to 8:30am most mornings!
We did go through a phase of him waking up super early due to the light shining through his bedroom window earlier on in the year but purchasing a VELUX Blind soon sorted his sleeping right out and we got our lazy baby back!
With the dark mornings just around the corner and the dark nights approaching even quicker my little toot seems to sleep even longer than normal, not that I'm complaining at all! He is now waking up well after 9am!
One thing that is starting to worry me is when the clocks go back at the end of October!
Will Elliott be waking up at 8am or earlier??! That's like the middle of the night to us!
We have only really went through this twice since Elliott was born, this time last year when he was still a little tiny baby which didn't really affect us or him and then when the clocks went forward in March (which gained us an extra hour!)
How was/is your little ones with the clocks changing? Did they wake earlier than normal?
I hate the clocks going back it takes me ages to adjust. This will be the first one for my grandson, Bear, he is one tomorrow so last years change doesn't count. I hope it doesn't affect him as he's in a really good routine at the moment. Not quite as good as your little one :-) I hope they both just sleep through it all.
ReplyDeleteoh happy birthday Bear for tomorrow!! yes, this is the same with us, hopefully it wont affect them too much! thanks for commenting! x
ReplyDeletewe bought a gro-clock which really helps Big Red understand when to wake up when the sunlight isn't giving her any tips. Fingers crossed it doesn't have too big an impact on his sleep. That sounds like a wonderful sleep routine!

oh ive heard so much about them - we were going to pick one up but we were unsure if he was a bit young for it just now! hopefully it wont affect him too much! thanks for commenting! x
DeleteYes, my eldest sleeps well & fairly social hours and I am wondering if she will be thrown out by clock change. Youngest is still a bit erratic with sleep so probably won't be affected much. We're going to try to shift their bedtimes (& hopefully up times) gradually through the month. Just putting them down 10-15 min later. Hoping can maybe gradually shift them towards what will be the new time so that it isn't an hour jump in one day. This will probably fail! #babybrainmonday
ReplyDeletethats such a good idea! i think i might start that too! i am hoping it wont affect him too much! thanks for sharing your tips and taking the time to commenting! x
DeleteI envy you with such a good sleeper! I´m hoping number two will be a better sleeper than my first. I remember panicking about clock changes but you do end up coping. I think I just shifted things forwards or bakwards little by little until we reached the hour mark!
ReplyDeletehaha, i think a lot of people do, although i feel sorry for the ones that are up every year!! oh thats a good idea! thanks for sharing! im hoping it wont throw him out of sorts! thanks for commenting! x
DeleteI am very jealous of your good sleeper! Monkey is up at around 6.30. He did end up being affected last year so I can only guess he will do the same this year. I am not looking forward tot he 5.30 starts!! Good luck I hope it doesn't affect Elliott. #Babybrainmondays

ReplyDeleteOnce in a while getting a child to rest is not as simple as taking after an orderly program. Actually, there are times when all the guidance of the specialists doesn't verge on taking care of your infant's rest issues. At the point when that happens - for your child's purpose and the purpose of your own rational soundness - we propose tossing out tradition and doing whatever it takes to get your infant to rest.
