  3. Your iPhone spends a lot of time in your pocket, a bag or in your hand, and as a result it will get dirty. Dirt, dust, grease and fingerprints on your lens will have a big effect on the quality of your photos.
There’s no point trying to take great photos if the glass of the lens is dirty. It will block light from entering the camera’s sensor and will leave smudges, blurs or dust spots on your images. A clean lens will ensure you get sharp, clear images with your iPhone.
You should clean the lens each time you take it out to take a photo so my tip is to carry a soft lens cloth/glasses cleaning cloth in your handbag!

  18. Don't be afraid to get close to your subject when using a mobile to take photography, most phones work well up close. Also, crop images rather than zooming in when shooting, this keeps the clarity for the image you are capturing.

You don't have to use the built-in camera function to take photos either. There are various good camera apps on iOS and Android that allow you to photograph more effectly.

  19. Try not to take what you believe to be amazing pictures of random objects when you are a bit tipsy- they never look as good when sober!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Instead of spending lots of money on expensive apps on your phone to have nice filters to create a faded outline affect attatch a piece of cling film to your phone attatching it with a rubber band then rub a tiny bit of vaseline round near the edges of the lens to create a burred rim to the photo

    ReplyDelete
  36. Turn the camera in landscape mode to ensure you capture "the wider view".

    ReplyDelete
  37. Move the object, not the camera.

    ReplyDelete

  71. If you're thinking of investing in a new iPhone 6s (or 6s Plus) they have a wonderful new feature on them called 'Live Photos' which captures 1.5 seconds either side of your photograph. This means that as well as your lovely photo, you get to capture the entire moment to remember. We have been using it to make memories with our 10 week old baby :)

    ReplyDelete
  92. Position your subject into 'central square' as it's easier to edit if necessary

    ReplyDelete
