Exploring New Places!

Last Saturday it was a sunny day so we decided to take full advantage and have a lovely family day out to a Fruit Farm close by to us.

Even though the Fruit Farm has been there for years I was unaware of the farm until one of my friends shared photos on Facebook about their recent trip there. It looked amazing and after a quick website check off we went.

We were greeted with a busy car park! We walked a couple of meters and was greeted with lots of children having the best fun. There was a field with lots of ride on toys (which I presume have been donated as most of them are well loved) this was by far Elliott's favourite place to be. He hasn't got the hang of sitting on/in the cars and moving his legs to get him places, he likes to push them around like little walkers! There was also sandpit which had been dug into the ground and filled with buckets and spades and other seaside-y toys and 2 trampolines which have been dug into the ground also. Elliott had a bit of trouble walking on them but it didn't stop him trying! He laughed and squealed with delight when Grandad joined him! There was a little maze made out with square bales - but we never got round to that and a fort with slides and fun activities on every wall to try again this was something we never got round to checking out.

It is not all for babies and toddlers though, there was a go kart track for older children, I am sure if Elliott had been a year older Grandad would have popped him on and gave him a race! ha ha!

Something we noticed was the amount of people carrying little punnets of fresh fruit they had picked themselves.
The farm has many fields with their own fruit growing. Anyone big or small can get a punnet and pick as much or as little as you wish! We didn't get around to doing this by the time we had walked around and had some food we had a tired boy!

We spent a good 5 hours there playing, eating and generally just having the best time ever and we still didn't get to explore everything! We will most certainly be going back and do you want to know the best bit about the day? It was all free!!
(Note: You do have to buy food at the cafe as picnics are not allowed and if you want to pick the fruit you'll have to pay for the fruit you have picked yourself)

I really need to explore the area I live in a bit more as there is so much fun things to do with Elliott right on my doorstep!
