I think I have a slight obbsession with baby lotions and potions! I can't seem to pass them without having a sniff and then eventually buying them after arguing with myself that he doesn't need another bottle of bubble bath! It's not like Baby E is caring what is popped into his bath at night, usually it's to decorate my bathroom more than anything! The amount of empty bottle I have is unreal - but my hoarding is another story!
We have been trying out the Sophie la Girafe for a couple of weeks and I have to say this looks gourgeous sitting in my bathroom, with the beautiful white sleek bottles with the trademark giraffe print finished of nicely with a sliver top, whats not to love? If you know me by now you'll know I love simplicity - so this is right up my street!
After looking at the packing for more than it's necessary I went in for the smell test. Sophie la Girafe Baby Hair and Body Wash (£11.99)(*) is honestly the sweetest most warmest fuzzy-est feeling kind of smell. It's a smell I have never smelt before - or has ever made me feel all warm and fuzzy either.
I really can't describe how it smells as I sadly lack that skill, but it's just beautiful.
Once Baby E is in the bath I usually pop a blob of the Baby Hair and Body Wash wash onto a sponge and lather my naked baby up, I have used many body washes on Baby E and nothing has foamed up more than this. I love a good foamy baby - and Baby E seems to find it hilarious too.
After a good ol' wash down and a play/chew with Sophie la Girafe Bath Toy (£11.99)(*), another from the range. This is a lovely teething toy and suitable for the bath - and any other occasion for that matter! Baby E is usually seen crawling with Sophie in his hand or in his mouth squeaking his gums on the soft rubber.
After scooping him out of the bath and into a lovely fluffy towel, it was time to get Baby E ready for bed. I thought I would try out the Sophie la Girafe Baby Protection Cream (£14.99)(*) and for a woman that doesn't use anything on Baby E's bum other than Talcum Powder (on occasion) it was met with a 'ooooh, this is nice, really nice' statement! The Protection Cream is super creamy, not oily and gave a good layer of protection. This can be used for Nappy Rash but we have *touch wood* not had a case of this yet.
Overall, I was blown away at how beautifully packaged everything was - I think by far this is my favourite packaging. Such a luxurious set, that would make a great gift for a newborn right up or even Baby's first birthday! I just can't get over the smell, such a lovely scent which lingers forever - mmmmm!
