Bringing Back Childhood Memories!

When my brother and I were little we always use to have our own dinner set which we used at every meal time. If I remember rightly my brother had a Thomas the Tank Engine dinner set and I Beatrix Potter, Peter Rabbit set.
I am pretty sure my mum has still got them somewhere!

So when Baby E's grandparents bought him his very own dinner set when they holidayed in France it brought back so many memories of my childhood!

The Emma Bridgewater Men At Work Dinner Set (£19.95) in inside a little suitcase with a cute handle so even little hands can carry it around - I think we will be using this as a lunchbox when the weather is that little bit better and we can actually go out for picnics and days out which require a lunchbox as it is a good size and will fit a good sized lunch in! Inside the box is a plate, a bowl and a baby cup.

The set is made from hard Melamine which is so strong and sturdy and should last forever with a bit of care that is!
The set is not dishwasher safe, but that's fine for us as we don't have a dishwasher - although Daddy normally says we do have one and then points at me - flippin' cheek!

On the plate and the bowl are cars, jeeps, diggers, tractors and a few animals around the rim and then a tractor in the middle of each. On the cup is a jeep and a tractor and some animals.

This is the first piece of Emma Bridgewater I have owned and I am in love! Its is beautifully made and all the colours on each piece are so vibrant and bright.

As you can imagine this would and has made a beautiful gift for a small person, I have had a check on the Emma Bridgewater's website and have found that they do boy and girls dinner sets for £19.95! What a great price for something that will last a life time and hopefully Baby E will remember his dinner set when he's as old as me!

Did you have your very own dinner set when you were younger or have you bought your little ones one for themselves? I'd love to know!

  3. This is very cute. We've been a bit random with buying dinnerware for our toddler so he doesn't have a matching set at home, but he does have a Peppa Pig set at his grandparents'. Not surprisingly, he loves it. It makes me feel a bit bad for not getting him one here! #triedtested

  7. These are so beautiful! The boys were bought Peter Rabbit ones for their naming day but they're so nice and the twins tend to bang their spoons down on plates so we tend to just use plastic ones instead!! Thanks so much for linking up with #TwinklyTuesday

  8. I love this set, I really wanted it for T but I was put off by the fact it's not dishwasher proof, it would be bound to end up in there and get ruined.

Great post, thanks for linking to #toddlerapprovedtuesday Leandra & Becky xx
