Baby friendly pancakes

Today for breakfast I actually got up early and turned on "housewife/mummy" mode.
After spring cleaning the entire house - I even cleaned all the kitchen cupboards! And inside them I found many ingredients that I have never see the light of day!

That was until today!
While Baby E was still snoring away, I decided to make a tasty breakfast for the both of us, baby friendly pancakes!

As I said above, I had all the ingredients and had lots of toppings which I know Baby E would enjoy!

I first measured out 100g of plain flour, a pinch of salt, 300g of milk and 2 eggs.

I'm sure we all know how to make pancakes but if not, here's how I did it...

Sift the flour into a large bowl and add the salt, once both are mixed make a well in the middle of the mixture and add the two eggs then whisk them all together.
While your whisking away add the milk into the mixture until it becomes smooth.

Add a blob of butter into a frying pan, once butter has melted ladle some of the batter into the pan.
Remember to flip them over! You can flip them in the air if you wish! Or you can be boring like me and do it with a spatula!

I'm sure Baby E must have smelt the pancakes as he woke up just as they were cooling!

I added some banana on top for Baby E's and on mine I had butter a jam!

They were absolutely delicious! And I'm sure Baby E loved them just as much as there was not even a crumb left on his plate!

I will definitely be making these more often!

Have you ever tried to make baby friendly pancakes?

  1. These look delicious! Pancakes are my second favourite food (after Christmas dinner with all the trimmings!). I love pancake day and usually make the much thinner, flatter pancakes. Might try this thicke, more American style next time :-) yum x
